so i'm standing there and this old cop car rolls up, i expect abe vigoda to come out and kick me in the nuts.
it turns out that they were filming a movie about john lennon getting shot, but instead of getting permission to film infront of the dakota, they decided to film in infront of a non-dakotaesque building on my block
i want to make a movie about john lennon getting shot in space, its like john lennon lived until skylab went into orbit and then they want him to play the opening, he joins nasa and goes to space but when they dock up with skylab and john lennon opens the door, oliver north is sitting in a revolving chair and spins around and says "sorry comrade, aint no fucking skylab all this is for star wars, then he laughs manically an shoots him with an electromagnetic rail gun.

so the fire is out, there was alot of water damage in the hallway and the elevators were out. i had to walk up 11 floors with the laura prepon girl last night. there was no damage inside my apt, although the landlord was crying on the stairs. that was disturbing.

you know what my favorite part of punching imperialists in the head? their fat faces cushon my fist, and my knuckles don't get cut up like when i throw down with gang bangers.
i was standing outside of a westside yuppie bar smoking a joint and defending trotskyism to a stupid bald fucker wearing an oxford shirt when this english guy with a southern accdent comes up to me and says you better keep your voice down, my son. i mimiced his accent saying i wouldn't want the punters getting upset, then the bald guy grabbed me by the throat and threw me up against a car so i cold clocked him, he went down and another guy started pulling on my shirt and then ripped it off. A then comes at me with some little kicks trying to get in and throw a punch; out of nowhere and without thinking i knock him flat with a killer left, breaking my pinky. me the power right cross irish hammer. then b smashed me over the head thrice with my giant heavy expensive walking umbrella which i stole from a client, breaking it. the english guy tried to grab me around the waist odly enough so i gave him a dose of the hammer, apparently he didn't realize this was a real fight and started walking off as b jumped on my back and grabbed me by the head. i fell on my knees while throwing him down flat on his back. I gave him a knee to the head while getting up as i sreamed get back here you cunt at the english guy who was half a block away. a grabbed my neck and then tried to put his thumb through my eyehole, i cant have that so i punched him square in the nose then i heard meggen yell run pat, i looked up and saw a cop car coming up the street. i was fucking hermes, a block and a half later i was waiting in a parking garage when meggen walked by and we i shirtless stayed put until meggen hailed a cab and we gone. later i called the guy's cellphone which meggen knew and told him i wanna box (meggen's mom dates jake lamatta the raging bull so i have access to a gym for whatever the hell i want) whenever he wants and gave him my cell number, he has yet to call me back.( click here for the aftermathCollapse )

I am very happy to hear that you are looking after my mother. Trisha tells me you are a good person and have the experience and background to take on such a responsibility. Right now we are considering a few possibilities for my mother's care when she will be moving to Miami where I live. In the past it was no trouble for us, but since my wife died, I really can't help my Mom with her personal needs. She also seems to be more frail than she was when she lived here two years ago.
For my Mom, she would probably consider the ideal situation for her to be living with my sister or me and have an attendant see to her needs. From my perspective I am not so sure a good ALF would not be better for her. I investigated one near by. My mother-in-law lives there on an independent living floor. They seems to provide good ALF care. They have a waiting list however and I am not sure my mother would approve of this possibility either.
Trisha said you would be willing to move down here with my Mom and continue taking care of her in my house. It is probably big enough for us and frequent family and friends who visit and you might like it (nice surroundings, neighborhood, pool, etc.).
I have a few considerations.
I'm not sure how things would work out for my Mom, and frankly how it would be for me, having you both live here. If we considered this arrangement on a month to month basis, it might work best for both of us. Miami offers a lot of opportunities. If things didn't work out with my Mom, we'd provide plane fare back to NYC or you could stay here for a while until you were otherwise situated.
A big consideration is salary. Trisha said that you would be willing to work for $500. a week plus room and board. That's about all we could handle unfortunately (the ALF would be less costly).
We could also not offer benefits i.e. SS or medical coverage. Time off would regularly be a full day a week plus breaks throughout the week arranged so that I could cover for you. Longer periods would be possible with enough notice to get a substitute. If you stayed a year, a weeks paid vacation would be given the first year.
Trisha has a daily care folder listing what should be done when. She can talk to you about the things not on that list that the other care workers did. Living in Miami will also provide other opportunities and routines. A bay park is two blocks away for frequent strolls and large fancy malls abound. We may want to build in weekly trips to the mall, movies or restaurants and almost anything that would make my mom's life more interesting that she was willing to try.
I would hope that you could work with my Mom to get her to take more responsibility on her own. She may have become too dependent with the constant attention her current group of care givers have showered on her. For example, I would like you to encourage my mom's being able to get out of a chair on her own. She also needs to be able to walk with her walker on her own much more often. She can do it when I urge her to, but assumes she can't when a too ready helping hand is available. I am also hoping to get her the frequent physical therapy she had when she was here last time.
Paying you for my mom's care will mean I wouldn't be able to afford my usual housekeeper. Trisha thought you would be able to take care of some of those needs too. We'd work that out when you got here, but you should consider those chores to include normal housekeeping responsibilities: laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc.
I have a second car that would be available for your use taking my Mom places and on your days off.
Facilities in the community would be available to you too: recreation center, olympic pool, adult ed., colleges, South Beach, etc.
This house is big enough so that we will not be bumping into each other most of the time. My mom's room has twin beds and a sitting area with a convertible couch. It opens on to the pool. There's a smaller bedroom next to it with an adjoining bathroom. My bedroom is further down the hall. Ideally, I would prefer that you had your own bedroom, for your own needs and for my mother's needed independence. Trisha's sleeping with her has been too convenient and I think she's become dependent on that arrangement. I made it clear with her when I was in NY, that even if she lived in a nursing home, she would be in her own bed and room. The other problem is that I have frequent guests staying over. If you did have a bedroom you used, away from my Mom, you'd need to share her room at those times.
That's about all I can think of. Please give me your reactions and any questions you may have.
